ZingChart: How does ZingChart differ from an open-source charting library?
ZingChart is not open-source. We are a closed-source, proprietary software product specializing exclusively in charts. We don’t share our source code with the public (a mandatory requirement for some clients), offer professional-level support, and continually update and improve our library.
Whether or not we’re an appropriate fit for your organization ultimately depends on what you are trying to achieve. For basic charting, there are many free, open-source charting libraries that would better serve your needs. Our library is targeted toward users working with larger data sets that require fast performance and advanced configurability. ZingChart can be used with any language or application that can execute JavaScript; because the library is written in pure, vanilla JavaScript, we are dependency-free.
For questions about our library, contact our support team at support@zingchart.com. We’re also available on chat (see the bottom-right corner of the page), and are generally online Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Pacific time.
